Dr. Christina Accornero

Dean of the School of Community Ministry

International Experience: Botswana, Canada, Mexico, Philippines, South Africa, Tanzania, United Kingdom, United States

Dr. Christina Accornero was born in Southern California where she completed her K-12 years before attending the University of California, Los Angeles. She was a 3 sport athlete at UCLA, while working toward a BS and MS in Kinesiology. This foundational work led her to further graduate work in geriatric administration and higher education administration. In addition she held coaching positions on the national level. It was during this quest for national recognition that she opened up her heart to become a follower of Jesus the Christ, forever changing the trajectory of her life. Chris was introduced to some of the Fuller Theological Seminary faculty in the next few years and ultimately agreed to study in the School of World Mission (now Intercultural Studies). Her PhD dissertation concerned the impacts of human resource leadership and culture in not-for-profit organizations. While working on her dissertation, Chris taught online as an adjunct professor for several institutions. She has worked with numerous LMS platforms giving her a broad spectrum of experience in online teaching. Following the completion of her doctorate Chris joined the administrative staff and faculty at Asbury Theological Seminary. She then took an assignment in South Carolina, at Southern Wesleyan University and became the Chair of the Division of Religion and later the Division of Social Sciences. Accornero has also worked for several non-profit and para-church organizations, including a nonprofit focused on senior adult issues where she was the co-developer of a 6-part video series, “Help & Hope for the Family Caregiver.” Her honesty and integrity in living out what is said “walk the talk and talk the walk” sets the standard for everyone around her. She is a person of many interests, wide education, and a variety of occupational experiences. She has directed, managed, consulted, administered, researched, coached, published, and started her own company, V3 Coaching. In addition, she serves faith communities as a speaker and a specialist for leadership development and organizational health.
