Missional University is excited to welcome Dr. Robert Baker as Professor of African Ethnomusicology in the School of Creative Expression for Missional University. He is a specialist in Applied Ethnodoxology. He brings extensive experience as an ethnomusicology consultant to his new role and has taught in Benin, Toga, Mali, and for Wycliffe Bible Translators and WEC International in the United Kingdom. His areas of teaching expertise include music theology and harmony, composition, ethnomusicological field research methods, African music, and biblical foundations for multicultural worship. He holds a Master of Philosophy in African Studies, specializing in Ethnomusicology from the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom. He also has a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from Oxford University and Westminster College in Oxford. He serves as the leader of Resonance Multicultural Worship Band and enjoys teaching music and drumming. He currently lives in Bedfordshire, United Kingdom.
