Missional University is excited to welcome Dr. Stephen Latham as Dean of the School of Ecological Mission! Dr. Latham brings more than twenty years of professional leadership and management experience with international, socioecological programs to his new role. He has extensive experience with international environmental, public health, and security issues. His areas of expertise include community resilience, disaster preparedness, disaster risk reduction, and response and recovery. He also has done extensive work in the areas of sustainable livelihoods, urban resilience in situations of chronic violence, sustainable development, and climate change adaptation. Dr. Latham’s career has taken him around the world as a member of rapid response teams, in senior leadership as a country director for Samaritan’s Purse and a disaster response director for World Vision, as a project team member and manager with the United Nations, USAID, EPA, and the World Health Organization (WHO), and as an international speaker and panelist. Dr. Latham holds a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from Trinity Bible College & Theological Seminary. He also holds a Master of Public Management in Environmental Policy and an MBA in Entrepreneurship from the University of Maryland at College Park. He currently lives in Pitman, New Jersey.
